Special Projects
White House trip in 2002 for the Easter Egg Roll. Michael was chosen to decorate the Easter Egg for his home state of Michigan. In this event local artists created decorated eggs, which represented each state and the District of Columbia. The 2002 Easter Egg Collection continued the tradition that began in 1994 where each state sends a decorated egg to the White House for display.
This is one of the 1,000 hand-painted Christmas bulbs for the President and Mrs. Bush in 2007. These were given as gifts to friends of the President and also to dignitaries.
Michael was honored to be chosen by the White House to illustrate for "Christmas at the White House 2007". The year's theme was "Holiday in the National Parks".
